Recipe to make at home: Limousin apple pie

Apple pie is one of the most popular desserts. However, some regions are more suitable than others. A roll of puff pastry, 2 beautiful Limousin apples (but it also works with other apples, of course), a little of compote, salted butter caramel cream, 1 bag of vanilla sugar.

Limousin apple pie recipe in 10 steps

1 – Butter the pan.
2 – Unroll the puff pastry, place it in the pan and roll the edges. Prick the dough with a fork.
3 – Take 15 minutes to pre-cook at 180 degrees.
4 – Peel the apples and cut into very thin slices.
5 – Remove the dough and let cool.
6 – Spread a thin layer of compote.
7 – Place the apple slices in a rosette.
8 – Sprinkle with vanilla sugar.
9 – Top with caramel cream.
10 – Cook for about 25 minutes, until apples brown.
