Camping en Bourgogne pour les cyclistes

Camping along the Voie Bleue in Burgundy

Southern Burgundy is a prime destination for cycling trips. Chalon-sur-Saône in particular. This charming town and the Pont de Bourgogne campsite are situated at the junction of several cycle routes, notably the Voie Verte, which winds its way through the vineyards from Givry to Cluny over a distance of around 50 kilometres, and the Voie Bleue, which links Luxembourg to Lyon. Two flat cycle routes suitable for all abilities. In its Burgundian section, the Voie Bleue takes you along the banks of the Saône between Chalon-sur-Saône and Mâcon, with a stop in Tournus to visit its superb Romanesque abbey church. Le Pont de Bourgogne is situated at the junction of these cycle routes. With accommodation designed with cyclists in mind, it is the perfect stopover for those travelling on two wheels across France. It is also the starting point for easy rides through the lush landscapes of southern Burgundy. If you haven’t brought your bike with you on your camping holiday in France, Le Pont de Bourgogne has a partner who will deliver a bike to you (electric or standard, depending on your preference).

Exploring the Lot and Dordogne by bike

The partner of the Moulin du Bel-Air campsite in Saint-Germain-du-Bel-Air delivers hire bikes within a 30 km radius of the campsite. This allows you to start your rides a little further afield.

Most C’est si Bon campsites offer bikes for hire. However, if the campsite does not have the model you are looking for, all C’est si Bon sites have partners from whom you can hire a bike, including electric bikes. In some cases, the partner will even deliver the bike to the campsite.

All C’est si Bon campsites offer accommodation. Some even have accommodation specifically designed for touring cyclists looking to stay the night.

At the campsite, a pitch has been specially designed for cyclists. In this hikers’ and cyclists’ area, you can pitch your tent and leave your bike safely in a dedicated storage room. In the “Hikers’ Hut”, you’ll find tables and chairs, as well as power sockets for charging mobile phones. From Les Couenons campsite, it’s easy to cycle to Mont Saint-Michel.
